Customer Spotlight: Echo
Meet #NaturesSelectDog, Echo!
Echo is a 4 year old Yellow Lab working as a Comfort/Therapy dog for the Los Angeles County Fire Department Peer Support Team. She was donated to the department by Tom and Terri Tackett at Patriotic Service Dog Foundation.
Echo was specifically selected and has completed hundreds of hours of intense specialized training to support firefighters with PTSD or high levels of anxiety in a variety of stations and settings. She not only assists in identifying individuals experiencing increased levels of stress, but she is also trained to comfort those individuals. Echo has already been deployed to assist firefighters and first responders on large woodland fires, critical incidents, and line of duty deaths.
Echo is assigned to a member of the LAFD’s Peer Support team, FFPM Jake Windall, and currently is stationed at FS 107 in Canyon County.
Her favorite part of her job is making people smile, laugh, and providing a feeling of safety and comfort to Firefighters and First Responders.
In her free time Echo loves being at the beach, playing fetch and swimming, which is a great mental break for her after long days at work.
Echo enjoys our Nature’s Select's Classic Recipe.
